Anim8s was formed in 2006 by a group of artists and childcare professionals who discovered a shared interest in engaging children and young people in the arts and digital media. Over the years we have worked in partnership with schools and other agencies that support children and young people to offer exciting and innovative projects designed to meet the social, emotional and learning needs of young participants, realising their aspirations, developing their skills and confidence and, when appropriate, giving them the opportunity to speak out about the issues that affect them. In recent years we have worked in partnership with local authorities, NHS Scotland and charities including Seal Dunfermline, Barnardo’s and Action for Children.
While we work often with with vulnerable and hard to reach young people and their families, we also carry out projects designed to meet the needs of vulnerable adults. Our aim is to develop meaningful relationships with agencies and professionals who share our interest in exploring how creative media, arts and animation can be used in a way that provides social and educational benefits to people of all ages.
